baby 'k' @ one year | Waconia Children's Photographer

So I am trying to get better about posting some of my recent sessions on my blog! I used to be so good at it and now it always gets pushed to the back burner. Since it has been so long since I have blogged on a regular basis, I am thinking that I might have to re-introduce myself! Ok so here goes: My name is Heather- I am a wife, mommy to a one-year old and almost three- year old (both boys!) I LOVE being a mommy, shopping (what girl doesn't?!), turtle-mocha coolers from caribou, warm sunlight on my face, anything with ruffles, my handsome husband and my adorable little boston terrier (Scout, he is really one of our children too). Many people do not know but I actually went to school to be a RN. I worked as a nurse for two years while also discovering my passion (obsession) for photography. I went online literally spending every extra minute I had reading and learning how a camera works. Photography is not just my passion, my job it is literally a PART of me. I can honestly say that I spend most of my day thinking about it. I do not drive anywhere these days without looking around for spots to use for sessions. I still, after two years of doing this, I come home from every session super giddy and can't get the photos uploaded fast enough so I can look through them! I know some people just don't get it (my husband is one of them, poor guy can't stand to look at another photo of mine or hear me talk about my next great idea!) but I am in LOVE and I can't imagine my life without my career as a photographer.

Well, enough about me! Let me tell you about this adorable little girl! Her mom and dad came all the way from Waconia to meet me at my studio for her photo session. I love how smily she was, she was an easy baby to photograph... love those sessions. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
